Federico Bertolo nasce ad Arzignano nel 1988.
Nel 2014 si laurea in Ingegneria Edile-Architettura presso l’Università degli Studi di Trento e con la tesi "Progetto per l'ex Teatro Rivoli di Valdagno. Dall'architettura di Bonfanti al (ri)ciclo e (ri)utilizzo come fabbrica culturale e creativa" con la quale si aggiudica il 1° premio di architettura Luca Andreasi.
Nei due anni successivi lavora presso alcuni studi italiani di architettura seguendo l’intero processo dal concept alle fasi costruttive. Nel 2016 si trasferisce a Parigi e collabora con lo studio Clément Blanchet Architecture (OMA France) dove lavora su importanti opere e concorsi internazionali. Nello stesso anno torna in Italia, a Bologna, dove lavora con il maestro della luce marionanni presso Viabizzuno diventando nel 2018 responsabile dell’ufficio architettura e dell’ufficio progettazione ombre dell’azienda. Durante questa esperienza si relaziona costantemente con i più importanti studi quali David Chipperfield Architects, Atelier Peter Zumthor, John Pawson, Foster and Partners, Estudio Barozzi Veiga, Studio Anne Holtrop, lavora su opere iconiche come il Palazzo Mondadori di Oscar Niemeyer, il Padiglione de l’Esprit Nouveau di Le Corbusier e ha occasione di collaborare nell'importante recupero del Cinema Modernissimo di Bologna.
Nel 2021, dopo oltre 7 anni di esperienza professionale su numerosi progetti nazionali e internazionali, apre il proprio atelier di architettura a Vicenza concepito come luogo di ricerca e sperimentazione della progettazione e della cultura.
Ha avviato inoltre collaborazioni con Fincantieri, Operae Interiors, Bolton Group, Factor Real Estate e nel 2025 firma la collezione bagno Link per Pibamarmi.

In 2014 he graduated in Building Engineering-Architecture at the University of Trento and he won the Luca Andreasi 1st architecture prize with his thesis "Project for the former Rivoli Theatre in Valdagno. From Bonfanti's architecture to (re)cycling and (re)use as a cultural and creative factory". In the following two years he gained experience in some italian offices of architecture and followed the entire process from concepts to constructive phases.
In 2016 he moved to Paris and collaborated with the Clément Blanchet Architecture studio (OMA France) where he worked on important international competitions. In the same year he returned to Italy, in Bologna, where he worked with the master of light marionanni and Viabizzuno, becoming in 2018 head of the company’s architecture office and shadow design office. During this working experience he constantly interacts with the most important studios such as David Chipperfield Architects, John Pawson, Foster and Partners, Estudio Barozzi Veiga, Studio Anne Holtrop, works on iconic architectures such as the Palazzo Mondadori by Oscar Niemeyer, the Esprit Nouveau Pavilion by Le Corbusier and has the opportunity to collaborate in the important recovery of the Cinema Modernissimo in Bologna.
